The Haunted Nights Carried Away with Crows - Real Story Share

in #life8 years ago

I am living in a village, and most people here believe that crows are something bad. Those are even worse than black cat. I have never been superstitious in my life, even though the people around me do believe in those signals a lot.

Crows Equal To Black Cat?

7 years ago, I was from this village to be around the cities, studying, working, travelling to the places nearby. That 7 years I did never hear any bird singing. Well, it can never be a crow then. But these days, those (black) crows, I guess so, keep choking around.

Those haunted nights start. The room seems small with a few things, wooden table, and a laptop. Things that I’ve always been on. Two windows which the doors always open. Looking outside, it’s like a shabby second floor and separated from the main parts of the house.

Every time when the sun goes down to that far away from that West. Those caws sounds start. It seems that nobody hear that sounds or only me?

I walk downstairs and in the yard, there is one crow flies across our mango tree. It disappears right from that mango leaves and the nearby Lychees tree. I look straight forward to the road that leads to our house. It’s shadowy out there since the lighting bulb was once broken down. And! That were the Bamboo trees! And one thought about snakes comes across my mind.

Night Owl or Night Caw?

I’ve been a “night owl”. Reading, chatting, writing, watching movies. I guess social networking turns us out to be those owls. But it was bad. The caws are dominant here, at night life. Mid-night falls on the roof, and those little stars are shinny. Suddenly, that crows cut the peaceful dark night.

I am almost to turn off the light, saying goodbye to the outside stars, and lay down for a sleep. But those caws become nearer, and louder. Caws, Caws, Caws.

It’s right above the roof, and sometimes, I even think it could be coming to the windows? I can feel there are more than one crow are on there. Are they playing the game of thrones? Flying over and screaming, then another one’s turn. Different imaginary things rolling my head.

Only one thing that, I couldn’t sleep at all. People here think those crows are black magic or black death-match for whom it caws on. Ridiculously though, all people call crows as “night owls”. Yeah owls in the night carry the life away.

P/S: It’s now 3 AM, and if I continue to be a night owl, right here, tomorrow I might die of sleep deprivation. Therefore, Good night!
