Why is it lonely when you become an old man?
When you become an old man, play begins to disappear. As you get older, the more time you spend alone. There is a movie theater for them in Incheon city, Korea. It is a MILIM theater for old men.

What do you think of this place?
Ms. Choi : The place that can cure loneliness. I want to make the visitors visiting first time feel that, "Mirim theater takes care of me"
Mr. Choi : I think the atmosphere is formed naturally. It feels like a family between elders, guests and staff. Especially, I appreciate our staffs because mirim had many problems, but they keeps their mind to do their best about work.
How was the MILIM theater for old men established?
Mr. Choi : It started in 1957, but fortunately closed in 2004. With 10 years closed, it opened the door again on October 2, 2013, as we celebrate the Senior Citizen's Day.
Mr. Shin : And we have reopened for that the old men are able to overcome their reality not to enjoy culture.
I heard that the theater has many programs for them except for movie.
Ms. Choi Yes. we have a variety of art programs, which are being run by artists who work in various field. For example classical movie screenings, old song radio shows, and the dubbing drama club. They proceeded dubbing theater.
Also, there is dreamland cultural school which young people can make videos and operate a movie theater. Recently, we started singing class, because we wish that the old men who have been here have lively lives. Lastly, there was an elderly video production club and they made advertisement, so we broadcasted it before the movie was screened.
Why do you manage much programs?
Ms. Choi : If the old men do not find it, this space is meaningless. we hope it will be such a place to give more people joy and happiness.
Do you have any comment lastly?
Mr. Shin : Life is long and many good movies is in our life. We hope you will come to MILIM Theater and have a good time by watching movies.
