We here in America, have some of the longest work weeks, and are the least vacationed people around. I would love to go to a 4 day work week, and work 4 ten hour days instead of working 5 eight hour days. That would give you a 3 day weekend, and make the weekends that much longer. Which would be nice if you were trying to have some more time to relax. The problem is, that everyone here expects you to be on call 24/7 which in itself is just super stressful. So I think people would be in a lot better moods if we had one more day of free time.
Weekends are too short

Oh, I agree totally. When I used to work at the bar I would workn4 closing shifts in a row and then have three days off. They were long ass days to work but worth it to have the extra day off.
Ya, that would be nice, I spend one of my days on the weekends just recovering and doing nothing.

steem on the rise
We work 80 hours in 9 days so that we get half of our Fridays off. It is a pretty good balance.

It might sound like it is an advantage not caring about weekends, because of being a pensioner - but I would rather keep busy and appreciate a day off now and then.
Glad I have steemit to keep my brain exercised.
:)
A lot of people have today off because of Veterans's Day. I get what you mean though. There are so many people who are stressed out and burned out because they can never step away. That's what happens when the economy is stagnating and people have to work harder and harder for less and less. If they don't, they could get laid off. That's not a recipe for long-term success.
