The hasad is a person who feels unhappy about the pleasures or happiness experienced by others. In addition, it is said that the one who hasad is the one who desires the pleasure of being lost from others. He has not felt calm if others have not experienced the conditions as expected. It is different from al-ghibthah, that is, people who only want the pleasure as experienced by others without wanting pleasure iu missing from others. But in essence, spite is feeling angry or hate for everything good he sees in others.

There are two kinds of envy. The first is to hate the enjoyment that the other person obtains absolutely, and this is a very dangerous nature of malice or resentment. His hatred brings illness and disturbance to the target of hatred. It will be a disease in his heart that he will be very happy, if pleasure missing from others even if he does not benefit from the loss of pleasure in others. he will feel relief or loss of pain if others lose pleasure. However, the sense of lost is only temporarily lost, especially if the pleasure is felt again by the person others, the pain is even worse. Certainly, the person who becomes the target of his anger hasud ayau will keep his pleasure even tighter than the hasudic disorder. The second spite is the attitude of hating the excess that a person has and is desperate to be like someone or even over it. This type of joke is categorized as al-ghibthah, that is malice that does not poison the culprit. Prophet sollollohualaihi wasalam still naming it with hasad. In the hadith narrated by muttafa'alaih from the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud and Ibn Umar, the Messenger of Allah sollollohualaihi wasalam said:

There is no jealous except for two people. It is against a person who is given wisdom by Allah then carry it out and teach it and to someone who is given treasure by Allah and spend it on the path of truth.

Someone who is given the Qur'an by Allah then reads it in the evening, and executes it in the afternoon, And a person who is given treasure by Allah then imparts to the truth by night and day.

There is no hasad except for two people, someone who is given the Qur'an by Allah then he read it during the day and night. Then heard by someone and said, hopefully I am also blessed as gifted to the person then I do charity like person it works. '' Also someone who was given treasure by Allah then he put it into the right, then said, 'hopefully I am also given as the person is given so that I can do charity as the person does the deed.

Some say that something is not said to havead unless someone just likes it if a pleasure acts upon him. That feeling came from his vision of the pleasures of others. Had there been no vision of a particular pleasure, surely that love would not have arisen. If the vision begins with hatred to see the gift given to others, then comes the hatred of the hatred with the desire to have (likes). However, if the pleasure of the pleasures given by God to others is not sanctioned by the desire to possess it, there is no feeling of hasad. This is a test for most humans. In fact, there are said to compete. This competition includes two things.First is favored and asked if the competition is in good and can bring goodness to akherat.Kedua is a competition to seize something because of hatred of something that others have gained. This second competition is hated.
