There are beautiful things inside ugly things.

These beautiful little birds were on the bank of a river called "El Río Guaire".

The Guaire River is a giant sewer in the city of Caracas. And for me, seeing these beautiful birds was very inspiring.

I was in a long line of vehicles waiting for gas. This is because in Venezuela we have serious fuel supply problems.

By the way, I can hardly take a step, but I can travel many kilometers in my vehicle! And this for me is wonderful! I feel so useful and free to be able to move with my vehicle even though I cannot do it with my legs.

So I was watching this ugly, stinky river when suddenly I saw these two precious little yellows. They were walking and eating happily. They were not separated from each other. They had an almost choreographic synchrony. Beautiful and yellow.

Beautiful things can exist in dark places, or difficult or sad situations. I believe that what God wanted to teach me on this occasion is to "stop" and "observe" even in the midst of any life circumstance, no matter how difficult or unpleasant it may be.

Even the queuing hours were cut short with them. What a useful teaching can be given by two beings so tiny but so beautiful.
