Wow, this is an awesome article, personally I told myself a long time ago, that what people post is social media es never going to be completely honest. I see social media the same way I see any other mass media, it has been planned and select it so that you watch it and have the reaction they want.
About happiness, I agree, I actually think it more about balance. I think I wouldn't have become the person I am if I hadn't had to live some pretty crappy experiences, but those experiences are the ones that make me be grateful for what I have or what I accomplish. love the post!

Yes, I could not agree more!!
Image cerated in social media is indeed cerated with a goal in mind... that contributes to the quest of "Happiness" that in turn will end in more frustration. (Since it's not happiness it makes us pursuit.
And yes, crapy experiences can lead to happiness, specially in the gratitude side, like you said. (Gratitude, that's another one that's disappearing a bit from our society too)
I would say that's actually a great way to distinguish the two. Happiness is sometimes connected to a past struggle. While pleasure is all about the present immediate gratification.
Thanks for your comment!!
That is also true, additionally I think happiness also means being aware of the feeling and the gratefulness, pleasure just comes and goes.
Exactly!!!
