I live in England, Cheshire — Nantwich. It’s a cute little down 30 minutes from Manchester. And the town is filled with old people and families, it’s a really great to raise a child.
My house is a 2 bedroom terrace house, I really love how the ground floor is open space, the dining room, living room and a little door to our little kitchen. The whole house connects us together and I can hear my daughter laughing from wherever I am.
My family is still young, including me and David, we are so grateful that we made this “mistake” but it was a sure decision that we were keeping our beautiful children. It was really the most perfect timing ever, I was very confused and didn’t want to carry on to university, I had no idea what I wanted and this is why I am so grateful for the timing! For the 3 years that had passed being a stay at home mother allowed me to do more soul searching, to do a little more discovery about what I really want in life. But most importantly our relationship bloomed beautifully and gracefully. We had a lot of faults but we worked with each other, and we helped each other heal a part of ourselves that was long and lost. For example he really taught me how to find my own voice, and being assertive — especially saying no!
Our children are so wonderful, our daughter Myla is a female boss in a childs baby, she loves to understand more than we allow her too, but she always proves to us that she is much more capable than we may think. She’s 3 now, and she is starting pre school, she loved it so far and she didn’t cry when i left her there. Our son Ailbe is 3 months old and he smiles and smiles and smiles! He loves to talk to us and did i say smiles?! I am so grateful to have him as my second child, he really makes it easy for me to take care of two kids.
So in our little house, we live together in harmony — we have our ups and downs but we always figure it out in the end, I dream to have much more adventure, but for now we can enjoy and savour the richness of a simple life.
