I continue the serie of TIABY! with this second article : 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People !

"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change" is a book of Dr. Stephen R. Covey who presents a realistic approach for attaining goals (you can find it here). Here is a sum-up of the 7 points for being a better you !

1 - Be proactive

Don’t stay for things to happen to you ! Take control of your direct environment and move on ! It’s time for action !

2 - Begin with the End in Mind

Have long term objectives ! Having a clear plan in mind is better for planning your future.

3 - Put First Things First

You have to prioritize your tasks. Focus on:

  • what is Important / Urgent
  • what is Important and not-urgent

4 - Think Win-Win

Think about collaboration and win-win solutions ! Making business with people implies that everyone need to be happy with the deal for building a strong relationship.

5 - Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood

Take time to understand people you talk with. Have an empathic feeling to understand their point of view and create a strong relationship with them.

6 - Synergize

Achieve goals in combining different skills to get something great !

7 - Sharpen the Saw

Feed your lifestyle with a good balance and different experiences : learn new skills / do sport / meditation / take rest.
Take your time and enjoy your life !

Tell me your thoughts in the comments ! Will you try these habits ?
