For the one that are new, welcome!
For the one that already know me, it's nice to see you again!
BIG UPDATE: TimeLapse is OUT!
This post is a side stop of a project, the LEGO one! We will go through the best architectures and representative buildings in the world, but we need some powerful vehicles to do that.
I want to express to all the Steemit community my love for the colorful and most funny bricks ever, LEGO!
To achieve that, I will show you the building phases, tips and tricks, photos and funny tales about the place or the building, and in this case, the incredible spaceship.
Without further ado, let's turn up the engine.
The TIE fighter. A dream of all children (and grown up children of course!). Surely one of the most iconic models of the lineup in the Star Wars saga. TIE stands for Twin ION Engines, the propeller of the spaceship. Fast, agile and basically versatile, they are seen since 1977 in the first film of the original Star Wars Trilogy. Very fragile, those spaceships usually swarm enemies in number. To quote Baron Soontir Fel:
"For every TIE fighter you shoot down, a thousand more will take its place."
The usual enemy is the spaceship (or should I say flagship) of the rebel, the X-Wing fighter, the iconic nemesis, as shown in the great representation below.
Star Wars and LEGO are a now old partnership, that features a lot of models and cool minifigures! This has been my first LEGO Star Wars model and I must admit I really enjoy both the building process and the variety of pieces in it. You can see a in the chart below the main details of this boxset.
Number of LEGO | 75211 |
---|---|
Year of Release | 2018 |
Number of Pieces | 519 |
Retail Price | Β£64.99 / $69.99 / 69.99β¬ |
Build Difficulty | βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ out of 5 |
Number of Minifigures | 4 |
One of the perks of the LEGO Star Wars series are the unique pieces that come along. I never seen some of the paddle and details of the spaceship are really accurate! Han Solo is waiting to fight the Imperial Forces, so it's better to start.
The first to be built is the center of the spaceship, which has a double rocket-launcher mechanism too (Which is quite powerful too! I wasn't expecting that at all from LEGO!). You can see some really dope details like aeration vents and grills in the picture below.
There is a bay, which can be open and closed to store the pilot of the starship. Han Solo seems to delve in the dark side?
The lateral panels of the Tie Fighter are pretty detailed and pretty big as well! There are some cool systems to give it a sense of mobility to the vehicle, like the grey border one. On the side you can see a missile that the Tie Fighter can shoot!

This boxset is a mid one in terms of pieces and price, yet it's really really interesting to build. If you are interested in the LEGO series and a passionate fan of Star Wars saga, you should check out the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) which features various replica of the vehicles. Have you seen Solo: a Star Wars Story at the cinema?
What do you think? What is your favourite spaceship from the saga?
Let me know in the comment if you did like this stop of the series and which cities/building you want to visit in the future! I am preparing the Timelapse too and will be out soon!
To the next time:
βThe Force will be with you. Always.β β Obi-Wan Kenobi
Thanks from the bottom of my hearth to every of you that stopped to have a look at my article, if you feel it's valuable, please share, follow or comment, whatever you feel.
Every little bit counts and you will greatly help me keeping the series up and continuing it!

I want these! I think Iβll have to get them sometime. My boys would like them too.
Well, feel free to reach me out before buying any! I really know sets and can suggest you what to get based on character preferences or just number of pieces/price π
Sounds good.
Legos are so fricken awesome! They use to be my favorite toy as a kid and now they have really stepped up their game by keeping up with new movies and keeping their product current. I cant wait till i have a child so i xan have an excuse to play with legos again! Lol.
That should be the best excuse ever! I can't wait too @moderndayhippie. Thanks for stopping by! βοΈ
Now that is a big imperial fighter! I wish I had the time and patience to do that. Thanks for sharing the legos they are pretty cool
Thanks so much for your support @rogueofoz πͺ
Upvoted anbd resteemed, love the GIFs and like i said in steemspeak.com discord with @fyrstikken we need that logo animation to have steem logo on the HELMET and steem standardfs on top of the spears of the marching soldiers!
we need more steem 3d printed legos, get some lego pieces that are actually 3d printed and get a steem lego system like @boycharlieplays has with minecraft!
huge potential to really mix steem and lego in a official way imagine if lego had kids make their own steem creations on the lego creator
Thanks so much for your support! A personalized steem Minifigures could be absolutely dope!
I'll work on the animation as well @ackza βοΈ
Wow, wish I had the time to build that. Very impressive. Check what I have on my office desk.
Nice one @gholsa and thanks for your support! Timelapse will be out soon as well π
Very good review!
I'll add a timelapse soon too! You can check the first episode about Venice here, with the timelapse video as well @brickmaster. The big project is to feature various LEGO Architecture and to showcase each part of the world iconic building and his history.
I am trying to reach out LEGO marketing for support too! @kimegggg
I have gone to Venice last year. Your project seems to be gorgeous. Cheer up!
Thanks! If you want to help feel free, I am following your profile @brickmaster.
Are you from Korea Brian? Luca here, nice to meet you π
My pleasure. Keep in touch!
Came here for the TIE Fighter.
Was not disappointed.
The Imperials have the coolest ships!
I surely have to agree @dxn, those ships are badass!
Hope to finish editing the TimeLapse too, follow to be up-to-date and thanks for stopping by π
Brilliant pictures mate! I love the format of this post.
Nice little teaser for the timelapse coming up :)
Thanks @calumam, uploading it right now on DTube!
Cool Lego build man!! Love a good Lego build myself, especially Star Wars!! My kids think I buy it for them haha. Cool review
Thanks for stopping by @raychords, if you need any suggestions for playable LEGO just let me know!
I am showcasing various models βοΈ
Holy building blocks @bafi! This is a spectacular post. You hit me right in my weak spot - Legos and Star Wars!
But dammit, now I want to run out and spend obscene amounts of money on all the sets. Those things can undoubtedly get expensive. Perhaps I'll get rich and own every item in the UCS ever created!!! Bwahahaha...sorry got carried away there.
Anyhow, thanks a bunch for a great post with extremely well shot pics! Felt like I was building the TIE Fighter with you.
Keep up the great work - I'll be following for plenty more!!
Thanks for stopping by and your support @artibeus!
Nice! My family is lego-crazy so I know how excited you must be!
Beautiful photos, by the way.
:D
Thanks @squishysquid for stopping by and for the compliments, can't wait to finish editing the timelapse as well!
That is so cool! My kids have tried making time-lapse lego videos, but arent that good at it yet. Ill have to show them if you post it!
You can check some of my previous one already on my profile if interested @squishysquid!
π
Ill have to check them out! Thanks!
