in #life7 years ago

Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I have ever had to face in my lifetime. It took several tries, changing my day to day activities, and focusing my mind on new things. In this video, I give some advice about what to do when you are first quitting smoking. Rather you are new to quitting, thinking about it, or have your quit date planned, I hope you can take what I say here as good advice to help you transition into a nicotine free life. Smoking was an easy one for me. I just decided to quit and I did. Cold turkey no problems and really not to bad of cravings. It was the habit of smoking that was the problem for me when I was at bars or other events I would want a smoke to pass the time but still decided to quit and did it. Now lets talk about soda. OMG trying to stop drinking soda was such a pain and I would wake up at night craving soda. That is how I envision trying to quit smoking for most people is. Congratulations on being a none smoker.

Nice post, my uncle quit tobacco and pharmaceuticals, he said every second you don't use is a second your free and every breath without using, you are getting stronger.

I would completely agree! I also learned that i dont have to feel like im at "zero" if i slip. Im human, slips will happen because no one is perfect.

Yeah, I completely agree. We can't break free if we are too hard on ourselves, as long as we keep trying and don't give up we will succeed. Glad to hear you broke free!
