They have the tourism part down, beaches are beautiful and there is much to do and see. Panama is nice as well but not as developed for tourism, there are a few nice beaches. My husband says it costs more and takes longer to get a visa in CR. We were able to get ours in about 5 days when visiting last year - having done all of the paperwork in the States and bringing it with us. A good lawyer is a must.
