A story was told of a wealthy man who wanted His son to acknowledge the fact that, there are many poor people living in a bad condition, with a very low standard of living. One day, this wealthy father took his family on a trip to the country with the intention of showing them especially his only son, how poor people live. They spent some days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. He wanted to son to see for himself how poor people live.

On their way home back from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”. “What did you observe from poor people?”
The boy answered his father “It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see for yourself how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yes,” said the son.
The father then asked him “tell me, what did you observe or learned from the trip?”
The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.”
“We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father went completely mute. He could not say anything. He was speechless.
The son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”
Moral Lesson;
The lesson we learnt here is that richness of life is more than money. Love, Care, Satisfaction, peace, Unity is richer than any satisfaction money can give.
