Almost every trip I go to get food for storks and birds of prey ends with a new family member.
As you know, the cruel truth of life is that I buy food for them from a poultry farm. These are chickens - production waste. Usually they are disposed of.
From time to time I find several live chickens among them. These are the lucky ones. They become members of our large flock-family.
Yesterday we arrived, a worker opened the warehouse and said: Here are your eight boxes.
This little yellow guy sat on the top drawer and squeaked pitifully. I immediately put him in the driver's seat. So he came to our house. Now he sits in a room near the stove, which warms him instead of his mother-hen.
To be honest, I don’t know for sure if it’s a boy or a girl. But it doesn't matter.
