New normal Thursday

in #life5 years ago

Hi,

today I managed to get only 10 minutes out for some shopping as we needed some food. I don't let my wife go shopping due to some good reasons. COVID19 is the good reason, as she needs to take our son with her.

Till now, I tried to get at everyday out for at least 1 hour and walk with my son so that we get some fresh air and some time together. This is still allowed in Germany, if we would have other rules, we would adapt for sure.

So the new reality is that we are closed in our homes and work from here, at least the ones who can work from home like I do.

In this times I think that is cool to have a home somewhere near the mountains with a big garden. I need to work on this and move out of our 70m² apartment to a bigger house, even if isolated. As long as it has internet, it shall be fine for me. I need internet for work.

I think humanity can adapt to it, or at least for the next few months till a vaccine will be available. If I like it? Of course not, I like to be free and to travel, but we can adapt. I see times of new opportunities, and hope to be able to be on the side of the winners or at least on the side of the survivors.

What I hope is to be able to attend Oktoberfest this year, which means that there are no more restrictions.

Did you adapt to this new life?

Social distancing is the wave of the future. Work from home, live remote. Cheaper, more peaceful, living away from the city. But to beat the rush go past the areas for new suburbs and find those areas. Good luck, be well, prosper.
