An unforgettable experience

Some experiences leave a very bitter impression in our lives,I mean where is humanity heading to?have we lost our sense of compassion?

Recently,i volunteered in a program initiated by a non governmental organization that works with teenagers because they are a vulnerable group and can be easily influenced into vices that could eventually cripple their future if they are not properly nurtured. We got up early, since it was the last day of the program and we still had a lot to cover..the first activity for the day was a"wellness run" to encourage healthy activities amongst youths as one cannot underestimate the importance of exercise.

We organized ourselves into two groups, our goal was to run for 2km.We had jogged for about a kilometer when i noticed pigs in a corner of a bush eating with so much vigour, now this is not an unusual sight but what caught my attention was the red stain on the snot of one of the pigs as it raised its head.
"Is that blood?"I didn't even know i had shouted..my colleague quickly got a stick and ran towards the pigs to scare them away, what we saw left us in shock..the pigs had just made a meal of two babies, probably twins that had been abandoned in the bush. One of the babies was barely alive and whimpering obviously dieing..his legs were gone and he had lost a lot of blood..it was such a painful death..so sad and devastating.

I could only imagine the heart wretching pain the babies had gone through before dieing..the responsible thing to do at that point was to wrap them up,report the case to the police and ensure that they were given a proper burial..

There's so much evil in the world,it's just sad..I've heard of stories similar to this, but experiencing it just broke my heart..
This is something I won't forget in a long time..
As for the mother, father or who ever abandoned this babies, all I can say is " karma will definitely catch up with them"!!!textgram_1529068580.png
