Fiduciary Journalism

When I watch or read News, I want the facts. I do not want anyone’s opinion, slant, angle, interpretation, vision or agenda promotion.

I especially don’t want to have to guess if what I am being told is being made up, staged or having information force fed or with-held to me under some false guise of national security. Real? Sure thing.

Real factual Financial and World Events raw news has become impossible to achieve. Investigative journalism is over and done. Why we do not see any true grit investigative journalism anymore is especially troubling.

Does anyone sense a danger in this position we have so quickly found ourselves in?

Well, I’ve conjured up a simple solution to this dilemma. I call it “Fiduciary Journalism”. We need no government or any other corporation involved in this “We the People” remedy. A simple open source website for people to go and share ideas, on how this whole concept is going to work, can get this started. We then fund this project through open source funding sites in some “to be determined” manner.

As I am witnessing alternative media’s YouTube channels being removed at an alarming rate, the new broadcast source will have to be open source and massively funded by all who still care.

A for profit association or corporation entrusted with providing truth can never produce truth. Let me provide an example. Think about how every school shooting has involved the suspected perpetrator being on some kind of mind medication, and now ask who the largest source of funding currently is for all news media. It is of course, the pharmaceutical industry, who by the way are the only funding source, currently keeping this whole "mind invasion" afloat.

This revolutionary shift in news coverage would have to be user funded, along with the Open Source Council that would provide oversight. Whether or not your FJ may broadcast in a suit and tie or topless, you would still get the same information. I am sure there would be some competition for viewers. We must find a way to have individuals or small groups to be able to report findings, perform investigative journalism, provide live reporting and make some serious money. All transparent of course as part of the guidelines. Remember, the FJ does not get to comment on any of their reporting. Just the facts. This should give them lots of time to perform investigative journalism!

My vision goes something like this:

A prospective Fiduciary Journalist (FJ) would have to be adhered to a rigidly defined process of handling and disseminating information via an independent council. Each man and woman would need to be insured with malpractice insurance. The insurance company would play and important role in keeping the FJ’s role from straying from the core principles and guidelines developed and help make the guidelines function properly. Any FJ caught intentionally fabricating any form of news could be sued, using the malpractice insurance as the source of funding for any prosecuted cases.

Each State could eventually create a Law that would criminally prosecute anyone bribing, manipulating data provided, or straight our lying to a FJ. We will be able to associate Common Law to achieve these goals and protect the rights of the citizens. We must value and protect truth.

“It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself.” ~Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia

Yes Mr. Jefferson, truth can stand by itself and light up a dark room with just a flickers presence, however we must not lose it’s sight or become those who would redefine its meaning.

We must save truth. Any ideas, comments?
