How to make money on virtually anything on Ebay $$$

in #life8 years ago (edited)

  • You might be pleasantly surprised to find the kind of stuff some people will buy on Ebay people will literally buy almost anything. This is why it goes without saying one mans garbage is another mans gold.

  • I have been using Ebay for years on and off and have found some good things that you can make a decent amount of profit on selling on Ebay. I have found old electronics people donate at local thrift stores can be very profitable heck people will buy old generation iPods the original wheel editions for often $50-$200 bucks just for old iPods.

  • You can even find old tea cup sets and mug sets at a yard sells or thrift stores often for cheap like maybe $1-$2 bucks that some people might be looking for that specific mug if it is hard to find can sometimes pay 300-400% profit.

  • Another good thing to search for a decent profit is the Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunts if you find these they are only $1 at a local grocery store but people often pay well over $20-$100 for popular ones because they cannot find them.

  • You can even sell used toilet paper rolls for money people buy these often for craft projects

  • If you have some old printer cartridges that are useless don't throw them away thats right people do pay money for them!

  • Old candy that isn't sold in the stores anymore are often hot sellers too like Oreo's they come out with different flavors based on the season of the year when they are out of season and people can't find them at the store they will often pay more just to get the flavor they want.

  • People literally even buy junk search for junk on Ebay you will be surprised at what pops up so don't throw anything away........

  • You can often buy parts for cheap at your local junk yards like $10-$20 bucks and re-sell it on Ebay for a decent profit. Like this recent 1970's Corvette radio that recently sold for $159 Bucks!

  • It is a good idea to search for items on your phone before buying stuff to make sure you aren't paying more then it is selling on Ebay for or wasting time or money.

  • Look for arbitrage opportunities like people just getting rid of old stuff they don't want anymore will often sell everything cheap at a low cost just to get rid of some shelf space but you can come in and make a decent amount of profit off it. You can also check your local classifieds for people selling things they don't want or need anymore.

  • Use good descriptive words in your headline. Always post lots of photos of the item it doesn't cost any extra so should be taken advantage of, the first 11 photos are free to post with the item. Always use a good description of the item. Look for sellers who have had success selling the same item and try to copy or mimic there item descriptions.

  • I try to use Flat rate shipping through USPS on everything that I sell it is often cheaper then doing it by weight you just need to make sure the item fits in a Flat rate box though. They come in small, medium, and large flat rate boxes. Flat rate is only $6.25 for a small flat rate box, $12.50 for a medium flat rate box and I think $18 for a large flat rate box but you get a discount on Ebay if you pay for postage on Paypal. Unless the item doesn't fit into a flat rate box then you have no choice but to do it by weight in which case just make sure you weigh it correctly and enter the correct dimensions on Paypal. People usually don't mind paying for shipping on most items is what I have found so just charge for shipping unless it is a really small item.

  • Hopefully you find my article at least interesting and worth reading. Happy selling on Ebay!!!!
