The 7 Things I Thank for in 2017 (Part 3 of 3)

in #life7 years ago

Well, well, I'm now on the last part of the things I thank for in 2017. It's the 3rd of January and I was really surprised when my classmate told me that we're going to have a class tonight! Wow.

Before, I study for my exam tomorrow, I'll write this post first.

 1. I thank God for giving me new friends
 2. I thank God for having an amazing family
 3. I thank God for the food
 4. I thank God for letting me travel often this year
 5. I thank God for the gift of health
 6. I thank God for His wonderful creations (nature!)
 7. i thank God for His infinite love

Today, I'll be gathering the 6th and 7th lilies of my little field:

6. I thank God for His wonderful creations (nature-lover me!)

As I gaze at the wondrous works of His hands, I couldn't help myself from flashing a beam on my face. During my bus trips on rural areas, I wouldn't miss the tranquility of staring at the lofty mountains, verdant meadows, colorful flowers, and scenic twilight.

The clouds slowly covering the summit of hills, the sunrise carefully crawling above the mountaintops, and the stars gently twinkling - all of these remind me of God's eternal, unconditional love for mankind. Nature points me to the world that is to come, to the best times that I should look forward to...

Guys, whenever we look or even think of those beautiful creations let us ask ourselves: "Are not God's promises, like the fragrant flowers, growing beside your path on every hand? Will you not let their beauty and sweetness fill your heart with joy?" - Steps to Christ, Chapter 13

 7. I thank God for His infinite love

Above all, there's nothing more precious, more worth thankful for than the infinite love of Jesus. 2017 was a roller coaster ride. I made mistakes. I felt aweful. But the LORD remained faithful to me ( as well as for you, too). In July, I faced some kind of unexpected loss that it made me felt so down for almost a month. I lost weight. I found it hard to sleep well. While fighting for that loss, He patiently carried me.

2016 brought me to heartbreak, but 2017 didn't. It was a year of patience, patience to finish my thesis and graduate! Hahah. But one thing comforts me during those waiting times - His love.

I know He loves me and I'm sure He has a plan for me. Life on earth is temporal for there is an eternal bliss waiting.
