Are you sick of your government being totally inept to do what they say they are supposed to do? Where you cannot do anything in society going through government without it being a total nightmare if happening at all? It makes sense they are so inept when their jobs are just to steal the wealth from the people.
true, they don't want a slice they watn the whole pie
yeah, bureaucracy is a fucking nightmare, that is what I am getting at
yes exactly
at least it might cause it to come crumbling down soon
maybe
Most governments have poor incentive structures, so are destined to fail.
The public’s ineptitude in electing public officials has been their downfall, so it looks as though your logic holds up.
Democracy is ill-suited to elect competent officials. When the cost of irrationality is low, people indulge, and people have been indulging heavily. It is perfectly rational to not want your wages to go down BUT vote in favor of immigration, because the odds your vote will be the deciding factor are very small, so the cost is very low, but the benefit, wether its feeling good about yourself or wether it gives you virtue points in your social circle, is much greater.
On the converse, even if a competent official gets elected, he is faced with a choice. People are very bad at choosing economically beneficial policy. Therefore, the official has to choose to either (1) introduce the bad policy the people want and be responsible for the bad consequences or (2) indroduce good policy that the people don't want and be seen as a traitor.
It is not the fault of the people, it is the system that works as designed but delivers different outcomes than expected. Democracy can not and will never work as a tool for equality and justice. For equality and justice to be universal, democracy and the state must first dissapear.
Democracy is a mechanism for achieving non-violent regime change, which is why people fought and died for it. Do you have a preferred method for selecting public officials?
You're already arguing past the point. Any society with public officials is non-free. Those public officials need to be paid out of your pocket against your will so they can spend your money on things you may or may not want in an inefficient way.
I argue for a fully decentralized society of private property owners who interact with eachother in a voluntary way, and where security is provided by the free market. I argue against the monopoly of the state on security, money and justice. That is, free security and justice through the free market and free money through cryptocurrencies.
