5 Freedom Candidates You Need To Know In 2018

in #libertarian7 years ago (edited)

1. Larry Sharpe

Larry Sharpe is "That Libertarian" and is currently polling in second place to Mr. Crony himself Andrew Cuomo. Out fundraising all the other candidates (including Republicans) in the race thus far for the New York Governorship, the Sharpe campaign has married old and traditional media along with bringing a message of saving main street to a transpartisan audience.

2. Congressman Tom Garrett

From being one of the brave few Republicans to stand against "Trumpcare" and call out the Swamp for funding terrorist entities in the name of "stability" and defying typical Republican standards such as putting into question the results of the war on drugs, Congressman Garrett of Virginia's 5th district has returned at least a segment of his party back to its federalist roots in a time where even many Republicans are going against the "America First" agenda Republicans were elected to commit to back in 2016.

3. Shak Hill

Combat tested and a proven conservative, Shak Hill's grassroots insurgency nearly took out Ed Gillespie in 2014 for the Republican US Senate nomination when it was unpopular to be a red-dyed Republican post 2012. Now running to Replace liberal Republican Barbara Comstock in Virginia's 10th congressional district, Shak Hill has vowed to keep the district Republican and combat the Washington machine, both very dangerous assignments. This lone conservative has been endorsed by Ron Paul and many other liberty conservatives who know that Shak can lead the fight.

4. Delegate Nick Freitas

A man with enough libertarian street cred to earn the endorsements of Rand and Ron Paul and the constitutional know how to even bring in Senator Mike Lee, Nick Freitas has dropped the gauntlet on the establishment class of the GOP and Democrats on the house floor, in the streets, and in the election booth. His mission to being the concepts of "liberty rising" to D.C. is capturing national attention as he goes head to head against a divisive and heavy field of other skilled opponents for the upcoming June GOP primary.

5. Kevin McCormick

The up and comer who tried to go toe to toe with Gov. Gary Johnson, Austin Petersen, and John McAfee for the Libertarian Party nomination in 2016 is back again, this time running for Governor of the border state of Arizona. Pushing a campaign as a clean elections candidate, McCormick wants to take the state's "dirty money" and use it to not only to compete against the establishment candidates, but also bankrupt the system so it can't be used for ill purposes by any candidate in the future.
