Liberland, December 2024 – Renowned kayaker Krisztina Bedocs, a 3-time vice-world champion and 3-time European champion, is set to represent Liberland at the prestigious Regata del Rio Negro. Held in Argentina from 11 to 18 January 2025, this iconic race spans 300 kilometres along the scenic Rio Negro River, making it the longest kayak race in the world.
The Regata del Rio Negro is a true test of endurance and teamwork, divided into seven gruelling stages. Krisztina will be teaming up with an experienced Argentinian paddler, Angel Fernandez Beovide, to take on this monumental challenge. Together, they aim to conquer the river and bring the Liberland flag to the highest stage of the podium.
Krisztina’s Impressive Legacy Born in Győr, Hungary, in 1986, Krisztina Bedocs discovered her passion for kayaking at the age of 14. Her dedication and talent have led to a celebrated career, highlighted by multiple vice-world championships and European titles. Since 2013, she has been a proud member of the Serbian Canoe National Team. Now, as she embarks on this new chapter representing Liberland, her mission extends beyond athletic achievement, promoting the values and vision of this free-spirited micronation.
