At the time a lot of it had to do with the difference between the $USD and $CAD.

I dont know. What I did see is a lot of teams suddenly showing up in warm areas of the US like Phoenix. Hockey in Phoenix? The Jets, Nords, and someone else moved south if I recall. Flames maybe?

Yeah the Stars moved too and then they put another team in Minnesota. Funny when leagues do that.
The Jazz moved out of New Orleans, go to Utah, the Hornets go from Charlotte to N.O, and an expansion in Charlotte. #nba
