The HCI, which received an arrest warrant for President Yoon from the Seoul Western District Court at around 2:50 AM, announced its intention to investigate him immediately at around 2 PM, but the investigation was not conducted as President Yoon did not appear.
The HCI is expected to consider measures such as forced detention or visiting the detention center for investigation if President Yoon continues to refuse to cooperate with the investigation on the 20th.
Meanwhile, President Yoon has refused all subsequent requests for investigation appearances except for one investigation immediately after his arrest by the HCI on the 15th. President Yoon's legal team is reviewing response measures, including filing for a detention review, as they find it difficult to accept the court's decision to issue the warrant.
Yoon, who once criticized others for not accepting special investigations if they were innocent, and who exercised veto power over all special investigations, is now refusing to cooperate with the investigation himself, contradicting his own words about being transparent and revealing everything if he had nothing to hide.
