Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 19/12/2023
Strange week, it started well, then it dumped 2 days back and now it looks to be pumping again. Pretty much anything is are basket is around the same as it was this time last week.
The basket lost around $100 this past week but with teh basket being worth almost $10k, this $100 is only around 1% which in crypto is nothing. If we moved our basket from 1 place to another, we'd take a bigger hit from fees.
You can see that the same tokens are still dominating. ADA, SOL and AVAX are outperforming everything else by miles. A rebalance will need to be done at some point but for now, ADA and SOL are still pumping.
The basket's dollar value is down but its HIVE value is up. This week, the XV token has a liquidation value of 1.58 HIVE which is awesome and we're now on the better side of 2 HIVE 🤑. If this trend continues where higher-ranked crypto outperforms HIVE which I think it will, we are in for some fun times.
Yeee-ha! We're now sitting on a 5 figure HIVE profit. The chart for the past month is looking amazing and we've only seen 1 losing week out of the last 9 so I'd say things are going well. Too well if you ask me 🤔 This is crypto and it could all turn around tomorrow. We would see massive HIVE value losses if HIVE 1 day were to moon 20-25% and these days will most likely happen to us. I just hope it is not on a reporting day, haha.
Round-Up
It's been a good week, it's been up and down but we finished well. Our basket value dropped 1% and HIVE dropped 2.5%. Within the crypto space dropping or gaining 2-3% in a week is considered stable 🤣 so we're good.
Was just thinking about us being up over 10k and because im greedy, I thought I wondered what SPI's cut would be if XV wrapped up today. Im not going back to check but im 85% sure I said there was a 5% exit fee. This is for actively maintaining the basket and keeping investors up to date. So the basket is worth 28,285 HIVE and 5% is 1414 HIVE. We've done 33 updates so we could say SPI would hypothetically have earned 42.85 HIVE each week/update. Crazy stuff, wild and interesting. Sort of just putting that out there to inspire others to copy XV and launch their own crypto index token or something. 42 HIVE a week plus content rewards for not doing that much. Having to write this post is the hardest part of operating the XV token.
We hammer on and wait for another 75 weeks to pass by. In 75 weeks' time...man, we gonna be balling. Everything is going to be mooning, defi scams will come thick and fast, NFTs will be selling for millions of dollars again and we'll on be ontop of the world again daydreaming about quitting our jobs to do crypto full-time or paying off a mortgage or both.
