Saga is a platform solution that automates the launching of dedicated blockspace, such as Cosmos appchains, Celestia Rollups, Polygon CDK chains and Avalanche Subnets. I was eligible for 1050 $SAGA tokens, ticking the boxes for the Polygon and Celestia loyalty campaign.
This time we go on fast-forward, as my draft for Saga Vault Three got so old that the snapshot for Vault Four took place and was also distributed! I am still suffering because I didn't claim the first vault, and all following airdrops where based on either you staked or not that one.
The strategy was simple and efficient! Saga used airdrops as a tool for community growth and platform promotion, as the campaign distributed various project tokens and NFTs to $SAGA stakers through "vaults" over several months. Was a top plan for genuine growth!
The Saga vision is to encourage staking, and to secure the network while rewarding the most enthusiastic stakers. Loyalty extends beyond token staking, as it encompasses active participation within the ecosystem. This is the vision that stands behind the perpetual Vault bounties!
Missing Vault One had a massive impact on the next claims, receiving under 50 SAGA for the next three ones. I shouldn't complain about free money, as Vault Two, Three and Four still gave me tokens and random useless NFTs. It could have been 5x or more if I didn't missed the claim deadline and it's only me to blame.
Vault Five followed quickly and got 54 $SAGA, but was ineligible for the merchandise drop. I am still thinking that the ripple effect for not claiming the first vault is keeping me poor. Only ... me ... to blame!
Guess what? I missed the deadline to claim Vault Six, and this made me feel even worst! When the $SAGA price dipped badly... I took advantage of the opportunity and bought some more. Go bigger or go home!
The dynamics of the airdrops changed for the Vault Seven, and more tiers were added to reflect the size of the staked assets, loyalty, and if the user perpetually added the airdrops in the staking pools. Missing the previous vault messed with my score but I still received a decent amount of tokens.
The main wallet which has been farming since the original airdrop received 76 $SAGA, while the fresh one that was topped-up when I bought the dip received 55.9 $SAGA! Could have been better... but I blame myself!
There's this thing in folklore... what happens twice will inevitably happen the third time! I missed the claim for the last vault of 20254, which was looking rather juicy! Why is this happening? Because I ... don't have any excuses! Knowing I missed two claims already would have made me more aware ... but it didn't.
Maybe because the X algorithms are rubbish? I should knew better than to rely on Elon's broken toy for updates. The claiming window was live for two weeks and all I've seen was "The Vault Claim Is Now Closed!"
Well... what goes round comes around! There was an upgrade vote which I hope will be part of the next airdrop criteria. I voted Yes for the 0.2 upgrade, a critical step in enhancing the Saga Mainnet in preparation for the Liquidity Integration Layer. The boost will deliver improved performance and scalability, that will support the growing ecosystem. Hopefully I will not forget to claim!
