Seek Knowledge First, Then Money Would Find You.

I was having a conversation with my little brother and we got into some money talks. Just as we were sharing ideas on how to improve our finances this year, I talked about learning some new skills and seeking more knowledge of the digital world and he was kinda surprised that I didn't talk about what jobs I'd wanna do to make money or what things I'd get involved with. I plainly made him understand that the knowledge is actually what brings in the money and what people pay for indirectly.

A person with no skills or knowledge in areas that are relevant to humans can't make money from anyone. Even a conman needs some form marketing and communication skill to sell their stories to their victims. This is how the world works. People pay money for services rendered by skilled people and skilled people can offer these services after seeking appropriate knowledge and experience.

Knowledge is the most powerful thing I know which can make any individual regardless of their culture, race or believe become so successful and powerful. In the last few years, I've grown to understand that money isn't something we search for, it's something that comes when we offer a solution to a problem. This makes me acknowledge the fact that I have to learn any relevant skill that can fetch in a decent income in the future and not dwell on where to get some free money.

One thing most young people around me also fail to understand is that money comes and goes but knowledge will keep bringing in more money. Having a set in relevant skills will always get you through life and its so saddening to see some young folks struggle to make money without having any set of skills that can actually bring them money.

I and my brother concluded that we would both learn some digital skills this year like programming, Web development and graphic design as my little brother would focus more on his studies ib the university to become a computer scientist. It's true what they say that learning ends when we die, so I believe I can still learn as much relevant skills as I want so long there's life.

"Knowledge is Power, Power is Money". Don't chase money, Seek Knowledge first, then money would come.

This was such a good read and what it reminded me of was the saying "success is defined as opportunity meeting preparedness" and "If you fail to plan then you are planning to fail".

Sad as it may sound, most young people hope for life-changing opportunities to fall on their laps without putting in any effort but I am glad you and your brother are starting the year on a positive note.

I hope you find success in all your endeavours this year.

Can I have your brother's handle on Hive so I can also give him a follow?
