What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.
The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.
Incoming HP delegations are steady with 334,556 being delegated in. We've been floating between 300-335k for the past few weeks and im very happy with this level.
The APY for curation has been up at around 10% for the past few months wich is very welcome because higher APY means, more HP rewards which results in more EDS being minted. It seems the new norm for curation is 10% which is really good for delegators.
HP rewards claimed this week were 640.06. eds-vote currently powers down 500 HIVE per week but always earns over 600 so in 3-4 weeks time, we should be able to start a new higher 600-a-week powerdown and boast EDS income payments even more.
320.03 EDS minted this week from eds-vote, this is more EDS than both EDS miners mint weekly and I never would have thought eds-vote could mint more than the miners. If we can hold this level of mintage, we'll mint over 16k a year from here. With around 90k allocated to eds-vote, we have enough for 4-5 years, maybe closer to 4.
Round-Up
Things are going well as always, I need to check and update votes for delegators at the weekend. Being able to start a new 600 HIVE a week powerdown will be amazing and help to get closer to the EDS flip where the EDS APY only increases each week.
eds-vote has turned out to be a real gamechanger for EDS and if it could grow even bigger than it is already, things would only get better for EDS holders which is perfect because you get EDS for delegating HP to @eds-vote.
