Money in The Hive

in #leofinance4 years ago (edited)

Growing up as a young lad, I heard some of the most shocking things in my life. Things I couldn't just accept, even in my naivety as a young boy. Funny enough some of these things came out of the mouths of adults. People who should know better.

Please pardon me, I don't mean to be rude... But hear this:

"Money is the root of all evil"

How does it ring in your eardrums?

I bet just like me, you'll begin to wonder...

If money is evil, why do parents need it to sponsor their children's education? Why do the government require it (in great amount) to provide good health care and other social security plans to their citizenry?

And on a personal level, why do you need it to enroll for a training that will equip you with a particular skill(s) that can change your life for good? Or why do you need it to set up a business that you've always thought of?

If money is evil...

At least, with it you'll be able to have your three-square meal-- in your house-- even if it's not in a yacht somewhere in the Caribbean Sea. Lol.

Discard the Myth

Money is good. In fact, it's a powerful tool that you and I need (and most utilise) to live the our lives to the fullest. If you ask me this damn question again: "Is money evil?" I'd say the reverse--the absence of money-- is the root of evil.

Money is not bad itself. Rather it is the attitude with which one seek it that may be considered bad or evil. Imagine stealing for money. Or ripping people off their hard-earned money by way of trick.

Will you steal when you wake up to realise the unexpected has happened to source of financial hope?

Now, let me tell you a short story...

A 25-year-old farmer who rears birds as well as honeybees, left town for weeks. Unavoidably. Leaving the rearing responsibility to his 15 years old cousin.

Only for him to return and realise that 85% of his birds are all gone. While his honeybees fared pretty well.

Upon seeing the Hive, this farmer was taken aback. He was terribly unhappy about his dead birds, but the state of the bees wowed him. He didn't know what to do with his cousin.

The farmer won't steal other farmers birds, however, he promised himself that he was going to squeeze his lost money (invested in the dead birds) back out of the hive.

To be continued.

It's been awhile.
