Watching BTC and HIVE side by side

Bitget recently added https://www.bitget.com/spot/HIVEUSDT to its spot market,

and over the past few months I have been watching the https://www.bitget.com/spot/BTCUSDT chart on the minute-to-minute, so now I can watch has BTC and HIVE both dance together. Of course this is just ONE exchange ranked # 15 by volume currently, and there are at least 33 listed.

Sometimes Hive goes up, when BTC goes up. But sometimes it goes down! While last year I watched the BTC price closely each week, this year I will try to watch closely the correlations. I am not claiming this is any sort of financial prediction, I am just drawing lines and marking prices.

Perhaps I can identify some trends as they unfold, such as which direction the HIVE price is trending, and which way the BTC price is trending. When they deviate from these trends has to do with so many factors I would warn against making any precise predictions beyond the current moment.

Therefore as I begin this new method of Hive price analysis, I can say that this past half hour BTC has trended higher (over 93,600) while HIVE has trended lower (under 0.487), but for me what it really comes down to are the 1.3 million Hive users who have not signed up yet, who will need HP.
