RE: JP Janssen–The Most Important NFT Person in Crypto You’ve Never Heard of.

I remember Punks also on SmartBCH?

I wonder about the urge to replicate that on every chain... perhaps that just tells us how little the actual art matters when talking about NFTs. Instead of coming up with something unique, people see more value in well-known stuff.

That's a good point.

I had this dude I met in Discord during the early months of Ordinals who made 7 figures flipping random crap and that was kind of what he said.

Rarity traits don't matter. Originality is overrated. Just buy a bunch of what people like and sell it to them at a higher price.

Punks are popular. They're on every chain. People love them.

The interesting thing about Bitcoin Punks was that they were a totally grassroots project. Somebody set up a basic website with the links to the byte perfect image of crypto punks and if you were savvy enough to have a full node and Ord set up or trusted someone to do it for you it costed maybe $3-5 to have a byte perfect Punk.

The grail traits like zombies, apes, aliens or hoodies sell for north of 10k, and the floor punks go for around $1k.

Stampunks were the same.

Ethscriptions Punks...

They are popular, and they sell.
