To Sticker or Not to sticker?

Lego sets typically have either plain bricks with stickers or printed bricks for detail. I imagine the deciding factor between these is cost.

I personally am not a fan of stickers on my Lego. Some of the issues with stickers is applying them correctly the first time. If you try to peel and reapply, stickers don’t alway hold. The advantage of stickers is you don’t have apply them.

Printed tiles hold up longer then stickers and they are always straight. The problem comes when they don’t match the MOC you are building, so you have to find replacement bricks. They also add cost to the set.

Both of these can add detail to builds and both have their place in Lego builds and MOCs. My personal preference is printed bricks. What do you prefer? And would you trade cost for one over the other?

I definitely prefer printed over stickers for many reasons. The main one being that I suck at putting stickers on correctly.

I understand that. I think modle type decals would be a better afol option.

Printed bricks over stickers every time for me. Sure, you may lose a litle versatility for MOCs but there are plenty of plain bricks around anyway, and it juat encourages you to get creative with how you use them.

Stickers should never even be considered in high end sets.

That is something I don’t understand. You have the high end sets with stickers and the Junior Sets with printed bricks.
