Learning programming is a lot of hard work and very frustrating for the beginner. Find an idea for what you want to make (this is for motivation) and stick to it. Even making a simple todo app can help get you kick started.

Word on the web is that Python is an easy one to pick up if you have no background in coding. I have read that it is often recommended as the first language to introduce kids to coding (not that I'm saying you're a kid :) but you know what I mean). There seem to be several tutorials online. If you're into web application programming, PHP is a good one to start with (assuming you know HTML). For databases, easiest is to start with MySQL which is free. Good Luck!

Good for you. My biggest advice would be patience. Learning coding was very intellectually challenging.
I LOVE pluralsight.com. It's $30/month, but there are so many courses on there and so many ways to learn, no matter your skill level.
Good luck, and be patient. Never stop learning, and eventually, you'll be able to code yourself a Ferrari.
