I would ask my Parents: "Why do I have to know this stuff in school? I don't see you guys ever using this useless stuff."
They Responded: "We had to Know it and Now you do too."

maybe you were unlucky with teachers, but often school is not about knowledge itself but about HOW to get this knowledge. And school or college or university with good teachers will provide excellent source for it. If teaching is not good, - still you have time there and you can learn what is not good and what might work better for you in terms of learning.
Finally - there is no wasted learning or knowledge, it looks like it is useless, but it will play eventually one way or another. It could be style of thinking, or you can apply it at not related activity or simply impress somebody.
so... it is not lost, keep it. it will do good for you. just my 2pence
