Art and Nature

We often visit the Biltmore Estate to walk among the gardens and enjoy the feast for our mind's eye. For the next few months, there are multiple displays of the artist known as Chihuly and the amazing glass sculptures he has created. Below is an example of the sculptures placed in the lily ponds and blending together as if growing naturally with the pond's plant life. When I was in seminary, I wrote a paper about truth. The paper's position was that because as Christians, we are part of Jesus who said that he is Life and Truth, and that He was come that we might have it more abundantly; when we create art, it is the closest thing to truth that we as humans can create. Of course, that has not stopped me from attempting to point to truth via the verbal linear mode, or the photographic image!
