LADYMAU ON HIVE - THE START OF SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Hello Hive community!
I am very happy to be part of this society, I was introduced by a friend of mine some days ago and with the little I have seen this is a great platform to improve on my writing skills and showcase my other skills even though I'm only starting out on it for the first time. The main aim of everything I start to do is to learn something new.

About myself
My name is Gowon Maureen, a Nigerian hailing from a tribe in Edo state although I currently reside in Bauchi state where I was posted to serve my country after graduation. I am fair in complexion and average height, I am 23years old and my birth month is January.

I love writing. I see it as a way of expressing myself, not just myself and also a way of making the public to be aware of what is happening in my neighborhood or country, to be honest I easily express myself on paper, social media than with my mouth. I started enjoying writing from secondary school, then I usually write stories, budget and letters.

I don't think I'll ever be bored or tired of writing. Writing helps my thinking and creative abilities because before I write anything down I have to think, not just writing down alone but also think about the negative and positive outcome of what I'm thinking and how I will put it down, though my writing skills are not that perfect but am still improving myself. It's one of the reasons I'm really happy to have found this platform.

Aside writing I have got other hobbies
I really enjoyed traveling from one state to another not just to travel but to know what is happening in that particular state, also to know their norms, so that I can easily write about that particular state.

Education
I am currently a student of Ambrose Alli university, my discipline is human nutrition and dietetics. Thanks to this platform, I'll get to share my experience as a student, an upcoming dietician and in less cases or researches, also to be able to share remedies to a diseases and disorders. It's my dream to become a dietician who can be of help to the public by enlightening the general public about what they need to know about their health.

My reason for joining Hive
I did not know there is a platform like this, although I do see @merit.ahama my friend from school days, always on her phone so I decided to ask what she does on it every time. I was introduced to Hive by her. I don't know how far I'll go with this journey I have started here but I'm excited to see how it plays out.

I really wish to be interact with like minds and express myself effectively. I hope Hive brings out the best out of me and help me discover parts of me I don't know about yet. Let connect, learn, express new ideas and grow. Thanks for having me and special thanks to Merit for giving me this opportunity.
