Freedom vs Regulation

Freedom is at the very core of each society, determining how much each society grows. It is a fundamental human right that allows us as humans express ourselves, pursue dreams, and live our lives without fear of of how people might view us. However, what happens when there is too much freedom?
Too much freedom, means a situation where individuals are given unlimited freedom to do whatever they want, without regulations or barriers. In situations as this, humans may engage in activities that can be detrimental to not just themselves but the society at large.
The erosion of societal values is a big effect of too much freedom in the society. Without regulations, limitations or laws people might participate in activities that might be detrimental and unethical both socially and morally. Pushing boundaries of the society we never knew existed until now. People engaging in abnormal relationships even with animals as a result of how much freedom has been dropped on their laps. Acts like this could tear down all the standaards that kept us sane and alive for centuries.
The freedom to be whoever they can might push people to take one roles without caring for other humans in the society. This could eventually lead to a break in law and order making the society unsecure for everyone. Without a limit to the activities people can carry out, people might take laws into their hands and carry out judgement on each other without carrying how this might affect others. Actions like these can be quite contagious especially among teens which might escalate things even further.
While taking laws into their hands people would not take responsibilities since they are free to do as they please. Actions like this might destroy the sense of personal responsibility in the society. Since people can do as they please without bothering what anyone thinks, accountability will become a thing of the past. And if actions like this spill into the next generation we might as well be headed for anarchy and society that destroys itself. Then the destruction of man might not just be a fictional movie but something that actually happens to mankind.
Too much freedom can also lead to a decline in social responsibility. Empathy for the next person would die and people become islands in a society that needs each other. Ultimately depression and suicide rate would increase in the society. When people are free to do whatever they want, there is a lack of concern for the welfare of others killing another factor that sets us apart from monsters.
It is of utmost importance to the society and mankind that a balance is struck between freedom and regulations.
Yes, freedom is a fundamental human right and an important core of society but if must be done with responsibility and accountability. Regulations and laws must be put in place to make people responsible for their actions no matter how little or great in the society. This is the only way to create a balance among humans and preserve our specie.
Whatever has good sides also has good sides but to prevent the bad sides from ruining the very essense of a factor a balance has to be struck. As important as freedom is it has to be regulated so we don't encroach on the freedom of others.
