The Labrador Retriever was reared to be both a neighborly friend and a helpful working canine breed. Generally, he earned his keep as an angler's aide: pulling nets, bringing ropes, and recovering fish from the crisp North Atlantic. The present Labrador Retriever is as amiable and dedicated as his progenitors, and he's America's most prominent breed.
