I WANT TO DROWN IN THIS OCEAN

"Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī has stated that devotional service attracts even Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa attracts everyone, but devotional service attracts Kṛṣṇa. The symbol of devotional service in the highest degree is Rādhārāṇī." NOD 1

Srila Rupa Goswami is clearly explaining the dynamics of ecstatic devotional service. How Radharani is so attractive to the Lord that although He attracts everyone loving devotional service attracts Him. He is so attracted to the devotional service as He experiences from Radharani that He has appeared as Sri Krishna Chaitanya to experience what She experiences when She is feeling separation from Him.

"To perform devotional service means to follow in the footsteps of Rādhārāṇī, and devotees in Vṛndāvana put themselves under the care of Rādhārāṇī in order to achieve perfection in their devotional service. In other words, devotional service is not an activity of the material world; it is directly under the control of Rādhārāṇī." NOD 1

Srila Rupa Goswami further elaborates. Devotional service is directly under the control of Radharani, the controller of the controller. No one can control the Supreme Lord but He puts Himself under the control of loving devotional service. The residents of Vrndavan have taken shelter of Radharani.

"In other words, devotional service is not an activity of the material world; it is directly under the control of Rādhārāṇī." NOD 1

How wonderful that we are being given the opportunity to engage in devotional service. This is why when we, the materially conditioned living entities are engaged in devotional service we attract Krishna. Devotional service is directly under the control of Radharani, the internal energy of the Lord.

And even more wonderful, beyond our ability to comprehend, the Lord has appeared as Sri Krishna Chaitanya, Radha and Krishna together. They are not accepting any offenses. They have come to deliver the most fallen, which is everyone in this age of Kali.

"'Let me take shelter of devotional service." Oh Radha, this is my first prayer to You. Although I have been chanting for many years this same prayer. "Oh Energy of the Lord, Oh Lord please engage me in your service" I have not experienced the depth of its meaning until now. And still I am barely entering the great ocean of the Nectar of Devotion.

I want to drown in this ocean, a drop of whose nectar is overwhelming. I want to see the forms of the residents of Vrndavan through the eyes of the associates of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and their followers. I seek such association and nothing else will do. If I can engage in their service my life will become perfect.
