I am here just a few months, so I know how overwhelming Steemit seems. There is much to learn, but you will find nice helpful people here, so just reach out to them and ask. I think there's a Korean proverb that translates into English to say "When we work together, one person lifts up the other". I believe this is true of Steemit if you find good friends.
I am intrigued your picture's symbolism of wanting to introduce yourself and reveal to the world, but being unsure so you are concealing one half of your face. (smile)
