The smallest Statue in the World

Hey there,

I addition to my previous post about The tallest Statue in the World I was curious to find out which is the smallest Statue in the World. I quickly want to share what i found.

As far as i could find out i hast to be “the monument to the frog-traveler” and it is only 44 millimeters tall.

It is located in the Russian town of Tomsk where it was installed in 2013. The creator of this little guy is the Russian artist Oleg Kislitsky. He wanted to install monument which is dedicated to travelers and was inspired by the story of the frog traveler.

The story of the frog traveler —the one who goes flying with the storks hanging from a twig by his teeth, but couldn’t keep his mouth shut when people on the ground, seeing the unusual spectacle, began praising the storks instead, eventually leading to his death— is well known in Russia, having been penned by the famous Russian author Vsevolod Garshin.
