This time we will try to make lights without using electricity as the source of energy. how can ya? let's try.
what things must be prepared?
Tools and materials:
- Used mineral water bottles.
- 1 sheet of zinc.
- Cloth bleach liquid.
- Silicon glue.
- Scissor.
- Water.
Ways of working:
Make a circular hole in the center of a piece of zinc with a radius size 1 cm smaller than the radius of the mineral bottle to be used. The center of the hole can be selected right on the zinc back or in the zinc moat.
Then make 1 cm long pieces, parallel to the radius of the hole, circle along the outer rim of the hole with the distance between pieces 1 to 2 cm.
Bend each piece upwards, then put a sealant (silicone) seal along the inside of the hole's circumference.
Put the bottle into the hole after the sealant dries, with the head position of the bottle at the top, 2/3 of the bottle is under the zinc and the 1/3 part is on the top of the zinc.
Then glue and close the gap between the bottle wall and the zinc using a sealant. It would be better if coated again with a kind of roof patching material or roof coating to make sure there is no leak or open gap.
Fill the bottle with clear water until it is full and mixed with a bottle of liquid bleach. Cover the bottle again by giving the sealant on the inside and outside of the bottle cap.
Then hose the roof of the building zinc at the planned position. The size of the hole is exactly the same size as the circumference of the bottle. Give the sealant around the hole, and after the dry pairing the bottle by matching the water line on the roof zinc with a piece of zinc that sticks to the bottle.
Close the gap between the piece of zinc with roof zinc with roof patch material to avoid leakage during rain.
Observation result:
After making the tools and observations, describe the phenomenon what happened? Is the bottle lights on or not?
After creating the tool, I am attaching a photo of my solar powered solar lamp. I describe that after the making is done, then dried for about 10 minutes in the sun, the solar-powered bottle lamp will light up.
Under this house design using solar powered lamps.
Discussion and Discussion:
Compare the bottle that is given the bleach liquid and no, whether when both are exposed to sunlight will emit the same light?
The answer is no. See figure 2 where the bottle is filled with water only and a picture of 3 bottles is filled with water plus a bleach liquid.
Below is a water bottle
Below bottle of water + bleach liquid
Why at the time of drying under the hot sun bottle containing bleach liquid will glow?
The answer is because of the difference of medium. The nature of the clothing bleach is to spread the light entering all directions. The composition of a bleach solution in the form of a sodium hypochlorite or NaClO compound which, when heated, will increase the reactivity of the Na, Cl, and O molecules themselves. Notice Figure 4 and Figure 5 on how solar solar bottle lamps can work.
