In this article I will show you how to create a simple and unique clock frame from pine wood. This wooden clock is suitable to be given some souvenir or birthday gift. Although simple, this pine wood fiber gives the impression of elegance at this hour. Here's how;

INGREDIENTS:

  • Pieces of pine wood 7 x 7 x 1.7 cm.
  • Clock machine.

TOOL:

  • Engine trimmer and eye trimmer flush.
  • 6mm bolt.
  • Heater / torch.
  • Ruler.
  • 7mm drill and drill.

HOW TO MAKE:

First find the midpoint of the wood by drawing a line from the four ends of the wood, then draw a line the size of the clock machine.

In order for the clock machine to enter the wood, we need to make a hole on the wood using a trimmer machine. The required hole depth is 1.4cm, but make the depth gradually so that the trimmer's work is not too heavy.

After hours can fit into the hole, then make a hole in the middle of the wood of 7mm. This hole serves as a place to lock the clock machine and install the hands of the clock.

Next I make a roundabout using a 6mm drill bit at positions at 1,2,3,6 and 9. Do not drill until translucent!

After that prepare the 6mm bolt then burn using fire until the end of the bolt smolder, then paste on the hole (roundabout 6mm) that we made earlier. The hot bolt will burn the wood so that the embedded wood will turn black.

The final step is to install the machine and the hands of the clock. If the clock is too long, you can cut it using scissors.

This is the end result of our artwork, very cool right. Let's try to make it home.
