Boy Oh Boy! Do I have a wild one for you today. It's a Schrade. Made in Ellenville, NY sometime between 1973 and 2004 according to the tang stamp. This one is exquisite and the pics can't really capture the color of the handle. The handle material is plastic. This colorway was known as Butter and Molasses also K-horn. I think it was made to mimic ram's horn.
The Stockman pattern has been around a long time and a lot of brands made them. A stockman is a three blade knife featuring a main clip blade, a Sheepsfoot blade and my favorite the spey blade. Can you guess what it's for? It's too gruesome for me to share. I'm a vegetarian for Christ sake! Look that one up at your own risk!
So how sharp does this knife get? VERY FUCKIN SHARP! The blades are really thin. Schrade used to have advertisements saying you could shave with their knives. I think that's a bold claim to make. I'd be lying if I said i never tried it with one of my schrades. I have quite a lot they're one of my favorite brands with a cool history. Sadly though they are no longer made in the USA. Schrade went out of business in 2004 the factory closed and they were bought out. Long live Schrade and USA made pocket knives!
I like the design!
