Just got back from https://www.lakelawnresort.com/ in Delavan Wisconsin for a weekend getaway. I've been to this lovely resort many times but this weekend they had a kite festival called Sky Circus on Ice. It was a fantastic time. I've never been to a kite festival before yet alone one in cold winter weather and watching kites while standing on a frozen lake. It was very relaxing and was great to get fresh air in my cabin fever filled lungs. Along with the numerous kites, there was ice/snow sculpting and a special performance by Connor Doran from NBC’S “America’s Got Talent”. His story on how he uses indoor kite flying to help control his epilepsy was truly inspirational. You can check out his amazing story here http://connordoran.com/. Well, it's back to the grind tomorrow but I was really glad to have taken this time to get away and enjoy spending time with the family.
Sounds like fun (except for the cold part :) ).
