kinatarcan island

this is one of the best islands i have been to and probably one of the best in my lifetime. it takes about 4 hours by land and about 1-2 hours by boat depending on sea condition to get there. but every second of it is worth it. if i get the chance, i would go back there every summer. the island is in northern cebu. you have to go to Daanbantayan and take a boat ride going there. the seas can be rough but it's safe.
it was the summer of 2015 when we went there. it was unforgettable. up to this day, i can still recall every moment while we were there. from the time we got on that bus going there until the time we got off the bus because we're back in the city. when we got there, everything was unexpected. all we knew is that we wanted a summer escapade. we bought our food because apparently there's not much there. no electricity, no water. they have generators that work from 5pm to midnight. that's when we would charge our cellphones. the rest of the day, it was just all beach and sea and seafoods.. they had the best and cheapest crabs.. export level quality. the waters are blue crystal clear.. they got powdery white sands. they have long stretches of white sand beaches all over the island. there are too many spots to explore.. there's alooott more in kinatarcan island than meets the eye.. and the best part is, it is not at all exploited. there isn't a single resort there. you can go wherever you want and find a spot for you and your friends. the island is for everyone. but not everyone is for it. there's nothing commercial in the island. everything is simple, so laid-back, pure, natural. everything is just beautiful.
it's been almost 3 years now since i went there. and i'm still missing it. i'm still looking forward to going back there sooonn and hopefully with the same people.
it was the best summer by far...
