Down the rabbit hole. The one I believe has a bottom. Some will not even admit it exists. But, those reading this have probably become aware of some discrepancies relating to a belief they have held. Some, in fact, that have completely changed how they look at the world.
In 2007, I first learned about the discrepancies in the 9/11 narrative while watching a DVD a friend had been given while visiting ground zero in 2006. That DVD immediately changed who I was by writing it out plain as day that the world is run by conspiracies. I mean, how could anybody see and accept we were lied to about 9/11, but think the media was still legit? It was immediately obvious to me that the media was controlled and thus, what they had been making me think about for over three decades, was not reality. So, with this new way of understanding the world, I spoke with many people about what I had learned. It was unreal. The evidence I saw that made me aware of the lies didn't seem to have the same affect on others. Most got upset and I truly felt like Alice in Wonderland. It was then I learned about cognitive dissonance and climbed a little further down the rabbit hole. I can tell you from my own experience on this journey, the strangest and most difficult thing to accept is how few people have the ability to create real change. It had become very clear to me how bread and circuses have always kept the people under the influence of deception.
That friend I watched the DVD with in 2007, well he wasn't as aware as he thought he was. He was on the same page as me understanding 9/11 was a lie. However, the longer we delved into the who, what's, and why's about that horrible day, it became aware that he could only accept it as an inside job because he was a Democrat and he thought the attack had been planned by Bush and the Republicans. It was then I started to realize there were depths of the rabbit hole some would not go below. And that's where we run into a major kink in the flow of educating others on conspiracies. I am open for discussions on any topics. And in those discussions, I am open to admit the topic on hand may be nothing more than a fabricated story. But too many truth seekers cannot do this. Religion is the best example of this. If one cannot admit what they believe in, is only a belief and may be based on man made laws and rules, they will never know true awareness. My senses have never made me aware that religion is something that was important for me. Nor, has anybody brought any reason to my attention that really made me think twice about it's importance. I am only using religion as an example, not picking on it. But, if it upsets you to read those words, then my point has been proven. Until we can all take that strange, painful, and upsetting journey to the bottom of the hole together, we will always disagree about what is truth. These ideas, or beliefs that give people a feeling of purpose, also keep them in a state of suspension. All but one of my beliefs are now "could be's". The only real belief I hold is that there is a bottom to all of the deception, or what we all seek........reality.
This is a wonderful post. Not necessarily because you bring up the willingness of most people to be "intellectually lazy", but that you discuss how we limit our willingness to "believe".
This is exactly how I've felt for several years and I often wonder how many times in the past I've disregarded those that have shone a light on our deceptions because it was just "too much" for me to ingest and contemplate.
Thanks for posting. I found you through the #payitforward contest. You were featured by @headchange and rightly so. Congratulations and all the best. You have a new follower.
The official 911 story is full of holes. I had studied the OKC Murrah Building bombing and saw there was way more to that story than what was officially being told. So, it was no surprise to me at all when I started seeing the lies and deceit surrounding 911.
You know that is a very good point. It seems the depths of the rabbit holes have no end. To start digging is one thing, to begin poking into side tunnels is something else entirely.
I read somewhere recently that there are two ways of knowing. There is the knowing from being taught, parents teachers, reading ect. Then there is the knowing of experience. The point being that true knowing comes from experience.
Naturally one wants to take advantage of learning from the experience of others, to an extent. Yet, it truly is a puzzle to me why there are still so many people who never question anything
I am personally starting to think that is part of the propose of the financial system. The money is worthless they can print all they want. It is there to keep the masses occupied. If everyone is working hard they have little time to contemplate and therefore little time to question.
That would also explain the education system. We are allowed to work less and profit more in direct correlation to our indoctrination ( or learned knowing) of the approved system of belief.
Just ask any research scientist how much success is available if their "findings" are out of line with the goals of those who fund it.
BTW great post welcome to Steemit. I hope to see more from you. Feel free to drop me a line any time.
Would you share what you consider to be the most eye opening truth you have become aware of since breaking free from the control system. Or, if you have a post dealing with the matter, I would enjoy reading and learning from it. I ask this question to people that have come to the conclusion that something just ain't right about the world. Very, very rarely will people surprise me with their response, but from your writings, I think you will. And that's something (not to be corny) I search for more than anything.
It is not often I am asked something that I have to think about. I thought about this one. Mostly because the answer is ever changing. I suppose it would have to always be whatever I am learning about at the moment.
If you really think about it this is probably true for most everyone. After all we can only be as aware as our latest epiphany.
I am starting to become very aware of just how much of a fog many people are in. There is a lot of info out there in plain sight, nobody is hiding it. For some reason only a few seem to pay attention.
Right now I am interested in artificial intelligence, trans humanism, and parabiosis
You and I both should probably post more blogs.
Hive Vote.
Thank you for an insightful post on questioning ones beliefs by questioning the motives of those who are in control of the narrative.
I found you through a submission in the payitforward contest submitted by @headchange.
Wonderful thought provoking post @mineisyours. I think many of us turn a blind eye because they don't want to believe that our country has and will continue to lie to us for its own selfish reasons. I agree there are too many inconsistencies with what happend. Supposedly we have the world's best technology and 'spy' network yet no one knew about this? Along with several other incidents that have happened since then.
I totally agree with there is so little we can do. Those in power have created false realities. As we are seeing now it's getting worse. We're encouraged to get out and vote, but for what? empty lies? And yes those that don't want to see or admit the truth will fight tooth and nail to prove their point rather than admit they're wrong or they have been lied to. The don't want feel or look the fool.
I did come across your post thought they Pay It Forward Curation Contest you were nominated by @headchange. I am looking forward to seeing more of your postings.
Yes, the people that figured out people a long time ago know more about us than we ever will. People are waking up though and being a bagholder of truth at least gives us something good to give out to seekers. People are good, it's the programming that is not. Thanks for the comments.
Very thought provoking, some people will only see so far, and call that the end of the truth search, (generally when they hit that uncomfortable zone), we all need to step through that barrier at times.

Thank you @wolfhart much appreciated
Wonderful post! I always love about when people wake up and the trouble of talking to others who think they are also awake. It is truly an up hill battle you will now face for the rest of your life. You will now begin the journey of looking for the cracks in the facade and find there are cracks everywhere and most of the "truth-movement" is just another set of lies. Everyone has an agenda, the key is always figuring that agenda out first then examining the facts. Good luck on your discovery.
