RE: Kidney Stones

Hi @stevesmith. Since I was 10 years old I have had kidney stones. This is hereditary. I was the unfortunate one to receive this wonderful gift from both sides of the family. I currently have a stent in my kidney because of severe kidney damage due to kidney stones. Not a very entertaining experience. This is like the 37 th stent I have, and I have stopped counting. I have MANY "frequent flyer miles" at the Urology hospital...LOL! Nothing works for me. No diet, and not even water. I have regulated my stones a bit by drinking a little bit of lemon juice in the morning. Some more advice I can give you is to drink beer. Believe it or not...Beer. I hate beer, but it helps to rinse out the kidney, so if I feel a stone coming on, I go and buy some beer. Vodka also helps. I am fortunate that my urethra has been stretched a bit(actually quite a bit) so the kidney stone can pass easier. This is really not such a great experience and you are right if you say that you feel like dying...I have crawled around in the house on many occasions. Now I can laugh about it but I promise everyone out there, having a stone, is a pain that you can't describe to anyone.

Well, I love beer. So I guess that's a good thing.
I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with this your whole life. I can only now imagine what hell that must be. My deepest sympathy.

The weirdest is that you get used to pain. Thank you and I hope you never ever have to go through a kidney stone again. I have resteemed your post so hopefully you will get a bit more exposure. Keep on steeming!
