How a Kenyan can make Money from Crypto-Currency

in #kenya7 years ago (edited)

There are 5 ways, I can think of, to grow your wealth in Crypto-currency

(1) Investing/Speculation

Buy bitcoins and hold them for a few years - The price of Bitcoin went up from just $1 in 2011 to a high of $20,000 at a point in 2017, many people became multimillionaires. It is currently at $ 9,000, there's apprehension that it might get to $50,000 sometime in future! And it's really just the beginning!

A far cry from what Kenyan banks and financial investments pay out 1% - 10% . Market capital being over $ 500 Billion, there sure is a lot of investor confidence out there. Wait until it gets to Mama Mboga!

(2) Mining

Bitcoin mining is not profitable as it used to be because of the capital cost and electricity requirement, given how high Kenya power is. However, there is still money to be made. Morever, there are other profitable coins one can get into mining like etherium, monero et al

Ever heard of Staking? A form of mining, where your wallet/coins help in network confirmations, and for that you get rewards. Staking is a much cheaper form of mining, available for such coins as NEO, VEN and Neblio etc

(3) Trading

Buy low, sell High. Buy the rumor, sell the news. If one keeps abreast with the goings on in the Crypto arena, bits and pieces of information, in tandem with technical analysis can make one a pretty penny. Tedious yes, time consuming yes, but a good run like the recent ZCash can leave you sated.

(4) Initial Coin Offerings

The murkiest and most rewarding. Getting a return of x2 x3 or even x20 is not far-fetched here. If you get a good ICO like the recent Ziliqa or upcoming WanChain, you are blessed. Follow Ian Balina and OhHeyMatty on YouTube for good referrals

(5) Get paid in Crypto

You can also start accepting Bitcoins or other Crypto for your products and services. A time might come when this is the norm and commonplace. To start off, do as I do... Content writing n Steemit.
