It’s our duty to Dissent

“The verdict on Julian Assange case, was a verdict that demolished freedom of the press, everyone’s freedom of speech, opinion and right to know the truth about the Governments crimes. It was an open declaration of authoritarianism taking over democracy.”

In the world with diminishing rights and justice, one wonders how far the current establishment can go? How far we let them go? On the 10th December we witnessed injustice, that threw a shadow to International Human Rights Day and made it meaningless. Because in the world where innocent people get prosecuted for reporting the truth, it is clear there are no human rights, no justice left. To me it has been obvious already a long time, but how many of us are still having a faith in the system, that is ridiculing and dehumanising us?

Look around you, people are living on the streets, everyone is suspected from cheating the system, that expects people to get by with fictions income, because it suits them well. Does this system deserve to exist in its current form? New Governments are coming up, with grandiose promises that fades away quickly under another lie, on top of the previous one. Isn’t it obvious, we are having an elite composed from politicians, who are rotating positions, they tell us the same thing, just under different party flag. Things never change.

The system is an dysfunctional rusty engine that needs replacement, not with another same model, but one that is run by the people as a community. Do you feel comfortable that the Government tells you, if you can have an abortion, smoke cigarettes, or take medical decisions over your body? Governments that decide to use AI, to scan all your private conversations and images, deciding if you may have that conversation or If they cut off your internet connection? Just like in countries run by the dictators and tyrants. There are red flags everywhere, what our future will be like, still people don’t care.

The enemy of the Government are not the foreign terrorists, they are scared of us, therefore they are implementing new, more restrictive and oppressive measures in full speed. To stay in power and control everything what the people may or may not do. Placing surveillance on, what we say online, what we may read or watch. Haven’t you noticed how crappy the internet has become the last few years. It’s about to become much worse, if we don’t stand up for our rights. There aren’t others doing it for us, we need everyone to stand up for themselves. Take to the streets, make phone calls, hire a lawyer to take your case to the court. Speak about things that are endangering the human rights with everyone. Awareness is critical to make people more knowledgeable about important matters.

We don’t have the luxury, nor the time, to think it will not have an effect on our own lives, no one will be unaffected or saved from them.
