Differently - Steve Jobs x Allen Turing

This weekend I watched two movies one about Steve Jobs (Jobs) and the other one about Allen Turing (imitation games).

Both of them had a big influence on the computer history during the last 75 years.

Each one of them had a dream. Allen Turing had a dream to create a computer and Steve Jobs, on the other hand, to make the computer simple and friendly that can be used by everyone on a day by day basis.

Allen Turing was the pioneer in developing the first modules of the computers and Steve Jobs made the computer a personal device that can be used by everyone on a day by day basis.

Allen Turing's creativity made a great contribution in using one of the first computers to expose the Nazi Enigma code and by that saving many lives during the Second World War and Steve Jobs by making the computer simple and attractive made a change in the lives of billions of people all over the world.

Steve Jobs did not specialize in a specific area in the computers field but as he described it he was a "leader of an orchestra" and knew how to navigate them to play a creative music in producing new model of computers from the Macintosh up to the most famous one which is the Apple mobile smartphone creating a computer in each of our phones allowing us to "drive the bicycle of our mind" on a day by day basis using our smartphones for it.

Steve Jobs was very special because he didn't mind what people or market research were saying about what people would like to have but stuck to his ideas even if they were not acceptable by his management or by his colleagues. He was very ready to take risks I order to create the products as per his dreams even if meant to go against the wind.

Allen Turing's activity during the war was done under a very high security and not many people knew about his special contribution and only after he died and many years later people became aware to know about his great capabilities and contribute to the war and to the computer field.

Allen Turing died young due to his homosexuality which was forbidden by the law of England those days.

On the other side, Steve Jobs was very famous during his professional lives and people appreciated his great contribution and made him very rich. Steve Jobs also ended his life to young due to his illness.
